Installing Clients Using a Systems Management Server

Pervasive.SQL V8 client installation programs now include a Systems Management Server Package Definition Format (.pdf) file. This allows the Systems Management Server to perform a silent installation of the client or server software.

For client install images copied to a server, the PDF file is located in the same directory as the setup.exe file of the client installation (that is, c:\pvsw\clients\win32\psqlclnt.pdf).

The steps to perform a Systems Management Server silent installation are beyond the scope of this manual. Please refer to your Systems Management Server documentation for more information on that topic.
