Connect a Client to a Pervasive.SQL Server
This procedure shows how to connect to a Pervasive.SQL server.
- Start PCC
- Register a Server Engine in your Namespace.
Right-click on Pervasive.SQL Engines (displayed in your namespace) and select Register New Engine.
The Namespace is the column on the left side of the Control Center window that contains a list of machines to which you are connected.
Note
The machines listed in your namespace will remain between Control Center sessions. To remove a machine, right-click on the machine name and select Delete.

- If you are unsure of the computer name, click the button to the right of the name field and select a computer name from the Network list that appears.
Figure 19-3 Choosing a Computer Name- Click OK to add the machine to your namespace, or click Test to test the connection first.
- You need to be authenticated on the remote server, and a dialog displays prompting you for a user name and password. Enter the values in the appropriate field and click OK.
- You are now connected to the remote Pervasive.SQL server.
