This manual is arranged in the order you should read it. You complete the installation by following the procedures outlined in each chapter. Additional material about developing applications using the Linux client is included at the end. The manual is divided into the following sections:

This chapter describes how to install the Pervasive.SQL V8 Linux Client.
- Chapter 2-Configuring the Client
This chapter discusses configuration changes you can make to the Linux client.
- Chapter 3-Connecting to Data
This chapter shows how to make a connection from your Linux client to Pervasive.SQL servers on Windows, NetWare, and Linux machines using a variety of access methods.
- Chapter 4-Development with the Client
This chapter details the header files and libraries you need to create client/server applications on the Linux platform.
